high pressure hose

I would like to find a 12 to 18 inch high pressure hose that goes from my 20 ton jack to my pressure gauge instead of using hard pipe fittings.Can it be done safely and at low cost?
1/4 inch coming out of the jack.......Gayton Arrigotti
