I have used a spray wax type epoxy release with no significant problems in making these dies. Have you tried the commercial epoxy release? Are you sealing the face of the cured epoxy with anything? A spray shellac allowed to dry then coated with the release should solve stubborn release problems.

Jim, Thanks for your on going support.

No, I have not sealed the face of the female epoxy die with anything, except with the previously mentioned releases. I certainly would not mind trying your suggesting, if it would be absolutely neccessary. If so, why shellac, why spray, why not acrylic or some other varnish type of seal?

Thanks,
Jon

Shelac is an alcohol based coating, it will have a minimum of interaction with the epoxy unlike many other solvents that are used in other coatings. It is also a good barrier type sealer unlike many other coatings. The wax release will not tend to melt it when applied over the shelac.
