Hi Daniel,
   It seems that though we keep improving the instructions, there is always something more that could said---your question points out another detail that we should add.  Use Scotch double-sided tape around the edges.  Do not use more tape than that, and do not use carpet tape.  The idea is to have the kevlar attached firmly enough that it won't fall off, but still can be pried off to turn over or replace when the surface has deteriorated beyond usefulness.
